Doris Marie Peterson Quick

Doris Marie Peterson Quick, 89, wife of the late Austin T. Quick, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  Mrs. Quick was born on March 18, 1921 in Palo Alto, California.  She was the daughter of the late Bertich Voldimare Peterson and Marie Henrietta Umlin Peterson. She was active for many years in the Alhambra Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, serving in multiple positions locally, statewide and nationally. Most people remembered her for her time as part of Selective Service Board in the 1960's. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Peter Michael Quick and his wife, Karen Baker Quick; one granddaughter, Whitney Marie Quick and one grandson, David Austin Quick, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Peterson Carter. The family requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in her name.
