Doris Weeks Pate

Doris Weeks Pate, 98, of Mt.Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late N. Elmore Pate, Jr. died Sunday, February 10, 2013. The relatives and friends of Doris Pate are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the graveside Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL FROM 5:00 UNTIL 7:00 PM.

Doris was born on November 11, 1914 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lawrence E. Weeks and the late Claudia Butler Weeks. She attended the College of Charleston and was a retired retail buyer from Belk's Department Store. "DarDar" was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Gaye Pate Caddell or Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, David E. Pate of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Bradley Weeks of Wilmington, NC, Claude L. Weeks (JuAnne) of St. Augustine, FL and J. Lloyd Weeks (Margaret) of Tryon, NC. Doris was preceded in death by a sister Betty Weeks Torrance, a brother Lawrence (Bubba) Weeks, a grandson Jon Carter Howell and a daughter in law Wendy Hendrix Pate.
