Doris Elizabeth Neal

Doris Elizabeth Tripp Neal, 90, of North Charleston, SC, wife of the late Marion E Neal for 63 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2023.  Her  graveside service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 in Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw, SC at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC.
 
Doris was born December 2, 1932 in Nashville, GA, the daughter of the late Joe Brown Tripp, Sr. and Louise Murray Tripp.  She held a degree in Education from Southwestern College in Americus, GA and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Baptist College at Charleston in North Charleston, SC. Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, especially for her family.
 
Doris was an elementary school teacher for 26 years most of them in First Grade, an adult Sunday School teacher, a military wife and a dedicated Christian. She was a member of Deer Park Baptist Church for 53 years.
 
Doris and Marion had three wonderful children: Sheryl Neal, David Neal (Deborah) and Amy Pohl (Patrick); four grandchildren: Jeffery Neal (Elizabeth), Amy Neal Lyon (Zac), Neal Patrick Pohl (Mary) and Kayla Marie Kase (Brian); 11 great-grandchildren; brother Joe Brown Tripp, Jr. and sister Mary Jo Levins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Davis.
