Doris Florence Meyers

Doris Florence Wolf Meyers 98, of Summerville, SC, wife of the late Dr. Roy Gene Meyers passed away on Sunday April 14, 2019 at her home with her family and the loving care of Hospice of Charleston with her. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Cemetery, Huguenin Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Doris was a life-long learner and mentor to many. She loved life and had friends of all ages. Doris was a voracious reader, loved cooking, fine wine, travel, the beach, golf, opera, dancing, gardening, Israel, and was a life member of the Democratic Party. She volunteered her time with many projects, but put much of her time into K.K.B.E. Sisterhoods gift shop Chosen Treasures, where fine Judaica for the home was available for the local community and for visitors from all over the world.

Doris is survived and will be missed by children, Mark I. Meyers (Sandra) and Elizabeth Meyers Tapp (Charlie); grandchildren: Daniel Meyers (Elaine), Jonathan Meyers (Gitty), Liana Berman (Michael) and John Meyers Sullivan; nine great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Nora Brown Melfi.
