Doris Marie Martin Herbert

Doris Marie Herbert, 84, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formally of Mount Pleasant and wife of Robert Milton Herbert entered into eternal rest Monday, December 25, 2023. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023,  in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc.Mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Road) at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be held following the service in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2023 in Stuhr's Mt. Pleasant Chapel from 3 - 5 PM.

Doris was born July 19, 1939 in McClellanville, South Carolina, daughter of Olin  Martin and Elizabeth Wyndham Martin. She was a member of St. James Methodist Church in Goose Creek and was a member of Hibben Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant for many years before they moved to Goose Creek.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert "Bob" Milton Herbert; son, Robert Eric Herbert (Jo-Dee) of Jamestown, SC; daughter, Catherine Herbert Clark of Mount Pleasant, SC, two brothers, Russell "Neil" Martin (Pat) of Holly Hill, SC, and Edward B. Martin (Mary) of  Cumming, GA; 5 grandchildren, Eric "Bo" Herbert (Amanda), Josh K Herbert (Laurin), Brandee Adams (Justin), Caitlin Graham (Keith), Cameron Clark; and nine great-grandchildren; Sadie, Bonnie, Bo, Abby, Kip, Graham, Ellie, Thomas and Harrison.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 512 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.
