Doris Jean Aumock Heald, 76, widow of Steven M. Heald, of Walterboro, SC, died Friday, July 6, 2012.
Born November 25, 1935, in Kinston, NC, daughter of William Long Cosby and Nannie Pearl Monroe Cosby. Mrs. Heald was a member of the Eastern Star. She was also a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her five sons, James S. Aumock and Dennis W. Aumock both of North Charleston, SC, John C. Aumock and Steven M. Heald, II both of Walterboro, SC and Terry Q. Aumock of Goose Creek, SC and two daughters, Patricia M. Shivley of Cartersville, GA and Allison M. Mattice of Riverside CA; brother, William "Billy" F. Cosby of Eikin, NC; sister, Virginia Cosby Orton of Charlotte, NC; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Kenneth Aumock and her first husband, Edwin H. Aumock.
The funeral service will be held at the J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel, Monday, July 9, 2012 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
