Doris Jeannette Coker

Doris Jeannette Coker, 69, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of James Woodrow Coker entered into eternal rest Friday, December 9, 2022. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 4:00 pm.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Jeannette was born September 9, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Bennie Jackson and the late Ruby Forbes Jackson. She was a member of the Greater Charleston USBC Hall of Fame and a youth bowling coach for many years. She also worked for many years as part of the event staff at The Citadel. Jeannette loved her grands and her Boston Terrier, Bandit.  

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Robert William Coker (Elizabeth) of James Island; grandchildren, Hannah, Ashton, Nick, Jackson, Ryan; and dear friends, Don and Vickie Wollenbecker of Goose Creek. 

Memorials may be made to Greater Charleston USBC Youth Scholarship Fund 289 Clayburne Drive Goose Creek, SC 29445.
