Doris Jean Lawing Browder Doris Jean Lawing Browder, 89, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Waverly Albert Browder entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 1, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Doris was born March 4, 1928 in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of the late Clarence Lawing and Elon Harris Lawing. She was a graduate of Queens College in Charlotte NC and was a retired kindergarten teacher. Doris was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jenny Bottemiller (Drew), Allyson "Sunny" Crisp (Jon), and, Susan Robertson (Tommy); sister Joyce Lawing; five grandchildren, Issac, Albert, Joseph, Benjamin, Jennifer; three great-grandchildren, Lucas Gray, Holly Claire and Laura. She was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Lawing.
