Dora Lee Cusack

Dora Lee Cusack, 99, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Joseph Bruce Cusack, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 5, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 , in J. HENRY STUHR INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, at 2:00p.m., Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Dora was born August 31, 1916 in Walterboro, SC, daughter of the late Cleveland J. Hiers and Essie Zeigler Hiers. Dora was employed by the American Tobacco Co. and was also a retail sales person, serving in several department stores. She was a longtime member of First Southern Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and WMS member. She was a life member of the Garden Club of SC and Wando Woods Garden Club. She was active with the Garrett FCL Club, Clemson Ext. member and a member of the Woodmen of the World, Lodge 1. She was a Grand Lodge UTU member and the Milton Lodge 592 of Florence, SC. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Bruce Cusack III (Sandra) of Summerville and David L.Cusack (Annabelle) of Goose Creek; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore Hiers and Haskell Hiers and a sister Cecile Jervey.
