Donna Doreen Gibson

Donna Doreen Gibson, 51, of Summerville, SC, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, in a local hospital.

Born August 18, 1959 in Georgetown, SC she was one of three children of Albert Edward Gibson and Eileen Mary McCormick Gibson.  She was past president of Charleston Cosmetology Association. Miss. Gibson was one of the founders and taught classes for "Feel Good, Feel Better."  She was twice the state award winner for this program that assisted women with cancer. She belonged to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church where she was a member of many organizations including WELCA Circle 2; she received numerous awards while serving as captain of the Relay For Life Team.

Miss Gibson is survived by her brother, Mark Gibson of Orangeburg, SC; sister, Lesley Wingate and her husband, Tracy, of Georgetown, TN; six nieces and nephews:  Caleb Gibson of Orangeburg, Aaron Dixon, Justin Dixon, Alina Dixon, Cory Dixon and Gavin Dixon all of Cleveland, TN.

The funeral service will be held in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:30 AM.  Interment on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11 AM at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Tuesday, September 7, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.
