Donald Earl Woods

Donald Earl Woods, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Annette Harry Woods, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 15, 2013. His memorial service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 in James Island Presbyterian Church, 1632 Fort Johnson Road, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, private.

Donald was born April 21, 1932 in Trion, Georgia, son of Earl F. Woods and Mellie Martin Woods. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and was a member of James Island Presbyterian Church. Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and retired as a claims adjustor with State Farm.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Woods Meeuwse (Henry) of Charleston, SC; son, Robert B. Woods (Lori) of Monroe, NY; eight grandchildren, Katie Geer (Justin), Zach Woods, Matthew Woods, Callie Woods, Chris Meeuwse (Amanda), Matthew Meeuwse, Michael Meeuwse and Kelsea Williams (Adam); four great grandchildren, Jordyn Geer, Reece Geer, Bronson Meeuwse and Savannah Meeuwse; four sisters, Martha W. Davis, June W. Mitchell, Hazel W. Gallaway and Nell W. Vaughn, all of GA. He was predeceased a daughter, Teresa Woods Norris, a brother, Allen Woods and a sister, Sherry Bishop.
