Donald "Donnie" Lee Smith, 67, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the North Area Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 2:00 p.m. Burial services will be later in Carolina Memorial Park.

Donnie was born June 12, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Daniel Benard Smith and Ruth Virginia Risher Smith. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired long distance truck driver.

Donnie is survived by his brothers: Carl Eugene Smith and Paul N. Smith both of Raleigh, NC; and two nieces: Stacy Lopez of Charleston, SC and Jamie Yarbrough of Burnet, TX. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ellen Chenoweth.
