Donald Wayne Hartz

Donald Wayne Hartz, 52, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Jackie Hartz, died Saturday, June 19, 2010.

Born June 26, 1957 in West Palm Beach, FL he was one of three children of Donald William Hartz and Dolores Gatlin Hartz.  He was in the automotive industry for over 25 years.  Donald was a member of Riverbluff Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and was a big fan of football and racing.

Mr. Hartz is survived by his wife, Jackie Hartz of North Charleston, SC; mother, Dolores Hartz of Lakeland, FL; daughters:  Danielle Strickland of Moncks Corner, SC, Shannon Cox of Greenville, SC and Jessica Peskorse of Charleston, SC; son, Jeremy Hartz of North Charleston, SC; sister, Jinny Wagner of Lakeland, FL; brother, Charles Hartz of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Clayton and Alexis Evans and one on the way; step-daughter, Carolee Dunn and her children, Corey and Clarissa Dunn; and step son, Thomas Witman and his children, William Wyatt and Sam of Goose Creek, SC.

The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM.  The graveside service will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Plantation Memorial Gardens.
