Donald Anson Gregg

Donald Anson Gregg, 83, husband of Sarah Burch Gregg, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.  The relatives and friends of Donald Gregg are invited to attend his Memorial  Service on Friday, July 2, 2010 in the Somerby Room at Somerby of Mt. Pleasant, 3100 Tradition Circle at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  The family will receive friends at the residence. Mr. Gregg was born August 30, 1926 in Wilmington, Delaware, son of the late Anson Garrett Gregg and Sylvia Chandler Gregg.  He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Civil Engineering degree, served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific and was a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sarah B. Gregg, just one day short of their 59^th wedding anniversary, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his daughter, Donna Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his two sons, Steven Garrett Gregg of Chicago, IL and David Anson Gregg of Wilmington, DE; his two grandchildren, Kristen Foster of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Gretchen Johnson of Austin, TX; his two great grandchildren, Gillian Foster and Finn Foster, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his brother, Norman Gregg of Kennett Square, PA; and his sister, Barbara Klair of Hockessin, PA. The family request that memorial be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC  29407.
