Donald "Don" Lloyd Goldsmith, USAF (Ret)

August 15, 1936 — January 31, 2012

CMSAF Donald "Don" Lloyd Goldsmith, USAF (Ret.), 75, husband of Dorothy Lucille McNally Goldsmith of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The relatives and friends of Donald "Don" Goldsmith are invited to a Celebration of His Life on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in New Covenant Church of God, 7363 Stall Road, North Charleston, SC from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Don was born on August 15, 1936 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, son of the late Walter Goldsmith and Lela Grainger Goldsmith. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was the owner of Dorothy's Originals and was a member of the MUSC Transplant Support Group.

Don's life will always be celebrated by his family which included his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy Goldsmith of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three children, Roxanne Ruff and her fiancé, Edward Hite, of Summerville, SC, Donald Goldsmith and his wife, Ronda, of North Charleston and Rebecca Sweatman and her husband, Stanley, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, David Fontaine, Austin Ruff, Justin Goldsmith and his wife, Janelle, Jennifer Mask, Rhonda Goldsmith, Savannah Sweatman and Summer Sweatman; five great grandchildren, one sister, Vickie Wieland of LaCrosse, WI and one brother, James Goldsmith of Wisconsin Dells, WI. The family would like to thank the staff of Beacon Hospice for their support during this time, especially Kathy Francis, Armand Buchannan and Amber Littman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Beacon Hospice, 501 Wando Park Blvd, #100, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
