Donald Elwood Baus

Donald Elwood Baus, Sr., 82, Summerville, SC, husband of the late Orrie Mathis Baus, passed away, Friday, October 7, 2011 in Charleston, SC.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was one of seven children of William A. Baus and Anna Mae Bonner Baus.  Mr. Baus was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years.  He was a member of the American Legion in Edgewater, MD.

Mr. Baus is survived by his two sons, Donald E. Baus, Jr and his wife Susan and Richard C. Baus and his wife Christi, all of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Baus and Jonathan Baus; sisters, Elada Cosden and Marian B. Krause; and brother, Wayne Baus.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Orrie Mathis Baus; sisters, Doris M. Lynch and Marie Doran; and brother, William E. Baus.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 21, 2011, at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Annapolis, MD under the direction of Kalas Funeral Home.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. in North Charleston, SC.
