Don Carlos Weathers, 77, Charleston, SC, originally from Fountain Inn, SC, husband of Nancy Kay Ferguson Weathers entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 11, 2022. His funeral service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Don was born July 23, 1945 in Laurens County, South Carolina, son of the late Willie Alvin Weathers and the late Mary Clark Thompson. He was a member of Etiwan Masonic Lodge, and a USMC veteran of Vietnam.
He is survived by four daughters, Mary Louise Toldedo of Athens, AL, Merinda Lucille (Todd Hamilton) Hensen of Charleston, SC, Melissa Leigh (Chad) Brewer of North Charleston, SC, Marian Loretta (Mike) Mitchum of Charleston, SC; step father, Carlton James of Baxley, GA; sister, Sheila Young of Blackshear, GA; sixteen grandchildren, Cleveland "Beau" Carl (Yanie) Carroll, III, Melody (Ben) Infantolino, David (Kelsey) Toledo, Jackie (Matthew) Stanbro, John David "JD" (Scottie) Hensen, Jr., Kandie Marie Hensen, Harley Henry Burbage, III, Hunter Joseph (Chance) Burbage, Haleigh Elizabeth Burbage, Shaw Louis Brewer-Davis, Alexandra "Alex" Noel Brewer-Davis, Bradley Eugene Willis, Abigail Grace Weathers, Cindy Mitchum, Austin Mitchum, Ty'anna Torres; and fourteen great - grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Willie Alvin and Mary Weathers; brothers, William Clark Weathers, and Ronnie Lee Weathers, step mother, Lois Sullivan Weathers
