Domenico Luigi Leo

Domenico Luigi Leo, 77, of Summerville, SC, husband of Irene C. Leo died Monday, November 5, 2012. The family will receive friends Friday, November 9, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with vigil prayers at 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 in St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Road at 11:00 AM followed by military honors. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Dorchester Memory Gardens at 11:30 AM.

Mr. Leo was born May 20, 1935 in Siano, Italy, son of the late Pasquale Leo and the late Carmela DiBenedetto Leo. He retired as a Master Sergeant after a 26 year career, including the Vietnam War, in the US Air Force. He was a member of St. Theresa The Little Flower Catholic Church, served as a Eucharistic Minister and worked diligently for the Church. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Irene C. Leo of Summerville, SC, daughters, Carmela McDaniel (Jeffrey) of Summerville, SC and Donna M. Goss (Tim) of Fresno, CA; son, Michael Anthony Leo of Hanahan, SC; grandchildren: Jeremy Scott Leo, Lauren M Goss, Domenico L. Leo III, Micayla A Leo; great-grandson, Isaiah Alexander Leo; sisters: Carmela, Antonetta, Sestina, Fenisia and Isidore. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Anna, Luigina, Mafalde and Maria.
