Dillon was born November 16, 2005 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a Junior at Cane Bay High School in Summerville, SC. He was an accomplished student-athlete who did well in many parts of his life; as a player, a teammate, son, brother, grandchild, and student. Everyone loved him and considered Dillon a friend. Because of his energy, persistence, and excitement, which stood out to everyone he met, he made one of the most important contributions to creating the SC Warhawks travel baseball team. Dillon lived his life to the fullest!
He loved nature and animals, and would often accompany his Granddaddy Moody to the fields and put corn out for the deer, that he so loved to watch. He enjoyed stopping at the market for salted peanuts and a Coke, which he learned to enjoy from his Granddaddy Moody. Dillon was a Big Eater and late night snacker. He loved dill pickles, to the point where he earned the nickname of "Dill Pickle". He also had a love for Chick-Fil-A sauce, and would make giant ham sandwiches that he'd smother with the sauce, as well as placing a handful of potato chips on the inside. He ate just about everything and would try (or challenge himself to try) "funky foods" as well. He was often called "My Mikey" by his mom and dad, because he would eat just about anything!
Dillon was very competitive and would often make impromptu "challenges" for his friends and family, such as seeing who could do the most push ups or pull ups, among many other crazy challenges. He also began dabbling with piano and discovered a natural talent, playing music without any formal instruction. Dillon loved to sing out loud to the radio with family and friends, with "Party in the USA" being a surprising favorite!
Apart from everything, it was Dillon’s family and his love for the game of baseball that was the center of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We will never forget #11...
Dillon is survived by his loving parents, Billy and Stacey; two sisters, Morgan Moody Wright and her husband John and Hadley Moody and her boyfriend, Thomas; one niece or nephew on the way!; three aunts, Nancy Moody Bergin and her husband, Tyler, Karen Prevo and her husband Brian and Kelly Stello and her husband, Alan; one uncle, Wayland Moody, Jr. and his wife, Shelly; two grandmothers, Judith Moody and Emily Harris, and grandfather David (Kathy) Harris; seven cousins, Chris, Josh, Lauren, Abigail, Tyler, Ethan and India.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dillon's name to the Cane Bay Baseball Program, 1624 State Rd, Summerville, SC 29486.
