Dicksie Gregorie Johnson

Dicksie Gregorie Johnson, 53, of Sullivans Island, South Carolina, wife of Francis G. Johnson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 in St. Philip's Church, 142 Church Street at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the residence, 2402 Goldbug Avenue, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Dicksie was born December 28, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Dr. Harry Baker Gregorie and Jane Ward Gregorie. She was a 1981 graduate of Ashley Hall and Clemson University Class of 1985. Dicksie had abundant passions. She was a lifelong sports and fitness enthusiast who especially enjoyed tennis, running and cycling. She cherished her time in nature and the outdoors, particularly kayaking on the Combahee River and walking along the shores of Sullivan's Island. She loved great food and was an exceptional cook. Dicksie's greatest joy of all was sharing her irrepressible love and spirit with her family and friends.

Dicksie is survived by her husband, Francis of Sullivan's Island, SC; son, Francis G. Johnson, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Mt, Pleasant, SC; three daughters: Sallie Scott Johnson, Harriet Gregorie Johnson and Elizabeth Hampden Johnson all of Sullivan's Island, SC; parents, Harry and Jane Gregorie of Yemassee, SC; two brothers: Harry B. Gregorie III and his wife Cathy of Charleston, SC and Brien A. Gregorie of Charleston, SC; four sisters: Etta G. Connolly and her husband Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Dr. Becky G. Baird and her husband David of Red Top, SC, Dr. Ann G. Kulze and her husband John of Charleston, SC and Jane Norvell Chesney Gregorie and her husband Greg of Denver, CO; and a loving extended family.
