Diane Estelle Katz

Diane Estelle Katz, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Dr. Sidney Katz, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Her Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Cemetery, Huguenin Avenue at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Diane was born January 29, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Morris Lefkowitz and Rachel Deitch Lefkowitz. She was Assistant Director of Medical Records at Roper hospital for 22 years and Director of Quality Assurance at Charleston Memorial Hospital before retiring in 2000. Diane was a wonderful artist, creating many beautiful oil paintings over the years.

She is survived by her son, Steven B. Katz (Jen Katz Guice); daughter, Joanna Katz Chronister (Allisun Chronister); and granddaughter, Sydni Chronister.

Diane was predeceased by her brother, Sol Lefkowitz; and sister, Shirley Tepper.
