Derek Alan Huff

Derek Alan Huff, 50, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Vicki A. Kochins Huff passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Sullivan's Island Baptist Church, 1753 Central Avenue at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, March 22, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.

Derek was born on November 2, 1962 in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, the son of Edward A. and Louise Tapio Huff. He was the owner of Protronics TV, and was a member of NESDA. A member of Sullivan's Island Baptist Church, Derek enjoyed playing baseball, football, and cheering on the Wando Warrior Lacrosse team. In his spare time, he loved yard work - especially cutting his grass. He also loved boating, his pets, and above all, his family.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki A. Kochins Huff of Mount Pleasant, SC; his children, Martin Huff and Dana Michelle Huff, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Mitchell Huff of Houston, TX; his parents, Edward and Louise Huff of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his sister, Sherry Kirkland and her husband, Larry of Hanahan, SC.
