Dereda Hardee Strickland

Dereda Hardee Strickland, 74, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Reggie A. Strickland, Sr. entered into eternal celebration with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial and Committal services will be private.

Dereda was born March 16, 1941 in Conway, SC, daughter of the late Gilbert Ree Hardee and Eula Benton Hardee Wright. She loved her husband of 57 years beyond measure and everything she did was for him, their children, and grandchildren. She was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her husband, Reggie A. Strickland, Sr.; two sons, Reggie Allen (Laura) Strickland, Jr., and Shannon J. Strickland; one daughter, Veeann (George) Breaker; six grandchildren, Jamie Strickland, Misty Strickland, Russell Breaker, Kyle Breaker, Katie Breaker, and Kevin Mathes; one great-granddaughter, Alana Breaker, sister, Alice Gillespie, brother, Legrand Hardee, Sr., and many nieces and nephews.
