Dennis Allen Thornal

Dennis Allen Thornal went to be in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. His funeral service will be at the graveside, Friday, August 18, 2017 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, on Friday from 9:00 am until time of the service.

Dennis was born on March 12, 1949 at the Old St. Francis Hospital on Calhoun Street. He is the son of Cary Thornal and the late Eileen Thornal. He was born with Cerebral Palsey. Because of having this problem, he attended a number of programs at Special Education classes that were started with the help of his and other parents with Special Needs children. In 1978 he went to live at the Coastal Center, where he has been living since that time. Had it not been for the care he has been given by the staff at the Coastal Center he would not have been with us this long. His family would like give their many thanks to all the people who helped care for him at the Coastal Center.

He is survived by his father of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his mother.
