Dennis Leroy Hair

Dennis Leroy Hair, 70, of Dorchester, South Carolina, husband of Linda Keefer Hair died Thursday, December 7, 2017. His funeral service will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 in Seacoast Church, Summerville, 301 E. 5th North Street, at 2:30 pm. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Dennis was born January 28, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Sammy Nathaniel Hair and the late Lois Evelyn Hiers Hair. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired in 2014 from Westvaco/Kapstone after 49 years of service as a Power Department Technical Specialist. Dennis was a man of great faith; he loved Jesus and enjoyed Bible study. Dennis enjoyed woodworking, reading, walking, camping and kayaking. He loved Hallmark movies and was an Atlanta Braves fan.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; two daughters, Selena Barfield (Ricci) of Dorchester, SC, Shannon Hodges (Kelley) of Dorchester, SC; two brothers, Glenn Hair of North Charleston, SC, Kevin Hair (Brenda) of Charleston, SC; grandchild, Kayla Burbage (Mike); great-grandchild, Adira; many nieces and nephews.
