Deloris Lilienthal Benjamin, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Charles Benjamin died Thursday, January 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, 10 Cunnington Avenue, Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends Sunday in the Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Deloris was born September 4, 1925 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Henry Lilienthal and the late Loretta Rentiers Lilienthal. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and a member of The Magnolia Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America. She was also a member of Stella Maris Catholic Church.

She is survived by daughter, Chardell Holmquist of Mount Pleasant, SC; three sons, Daniel Benjamin (Elaine) of Goose Creek, SC, Michael Benjamin (Vickie) of Williston, SC and Colin Benjamin of Mesa, AZ; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
son, Kevin Benjamin, granddaughter, Gracie Rebecca Benjamin, brother, John Frederick Lilienthal and sister, Harriet L. Dunning.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sandpiper Courtyard in Mount Pleasant and Roper Hospital of Mt. Pleasant for their compassion and care.
