Delores Smith James, 88, of Charleston, SC, widow of F. Bernie James, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 22, 2013. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 in St. Michael's Church, 71 Broad Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Delores was born January 17, 1925 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Gordon Wescott and Gertrude Smith Wescott. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and a member of The Second Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her three sons, Randall S. Gobel (Paulette), David D. Gobel (Donna) and James "Jimmy" Gobel (Terry), all of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Christopher, Leigh Ann, Allison, Erin and Katie; two great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Parks of Florence, SC and two brothers, Earl Wescott and Freddie Wescott, both of Summerville, SC.
