Delores Ann Huston, 87, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of retired Air Force Lt. Col. Richard Cleave Huston, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC. A private inurnment will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC, at a later date. The family will receive friends in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, from 1:00 pm until time of service.
Delores was born July 15, 1938, in Smithfield, North Carolina, daughter of the late Joe S. Johnson and the late Ruby Mozingo Johnson. She was a self-described domestic engineer, a.k.a. homemaker, a gourmet cook, a lover of horses, dogs and birds, a bowler, an avid gardener, and Richard's "Beautiful Bride."
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Richard Cleave Huston, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; her son, Eric Lee Huston and wife Kathy, of O'Fallon, IL; daughters Tracey Lynn Westbury and husband Joe, of Summerville, SC and Jill Marie Solomon and husband Parry, of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren Shane Huston and wife Heather, Taylor Huston, and Jared Solomon and fiancée Angel Goldsby; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Rylen, and Luna Huston; nephew Robert Johnson and niece Mary Ann Craven; extraordinary cousin Angelia Johnson, and numerous other cousins.
