Delores Grimes

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 15, 2010, Delores "Lois" Marguarite Grimes, widow of Henry B. Grimes.  Residence, Johns Island, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Monday, July 19, 2010, at eleven o'clock.  Burial will immediately follow funeral service.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Monday morning from ten o'clock until time of service. 

Mrs. Grimes was born on January 21, 1937 in Eloree, SC, daughter of the late Grover Lee Johnston and Katherine Arant Johnston.  She was a retired Tower Operator with the S.C. State Forestry Commission.  She was a Baptist.

Surviving are four sons, Henry C. Grimes and wife Deborah of Johns Island, James I. Grimes and wife Cynthia of Johns Island, Danny Grimes and wife Teena of Ravenel Billy Henderson of Bozard, LA; a daughter, Brenda Grimes Roberts of Adams Run; six sisters, Katherine Stephens, Virginia Felkel, Billie Sue Schumann, Lorene Shira,  Paulette Botten, Linda Driggers; grandchildren, Tonya Roberts, Jennifer McGinnis, Bubba Grimes, Jay Grimes, Daniel Grimes, Larry Garcia, Diana Grimes, Amy Grimes, Olivia Grimes; and seven beloved great grandchildren.  Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Grimes.
