Delores Groves Colson, 98, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Coy Colson, entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 21, 2022. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11 a.m. Interment in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, Walterboro, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Stuhr West Ashley Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Delores was born March 24, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Allen George Groves and Caroline Driggers Groves.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Carol Colson Roach (William) of Goose Creek, SC, her son, William Rhett Colson of Florence, SC, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Colson Fowler, and her son, James Coy Colson.
