Debra "Debbie" Lynn Johnson, 63, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, wife of H. Keith Johnson passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017. Her family will host a Gathering of Friends Friday, April 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Mount Pleasant CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd.
Debbie was born April 12, 1953 in Terra Haute, Indiana, daughter of Norma Barrick Pugh and the late Eugene Pugh. Her father was career Army so Debbie and her siblings grew up in numerous military posts in the U.S. and in Germany. She married her husband, Keith, on June 13, 1987 and lived on the Isle of Palms ever since. She retired from PRMMI to raise her children and enjoy life on the island. Debbie was very fun loving and kind. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family as much as possible. Debbie loved to read, travel and be out in her yard gardening. Everyone who knew her says she was one of the strongest people they knew.
In addition to her husband of 29 years, Keith, and her mother, Norma, she is survived by her children, Wyatt N. Tapp of New Orleans, LA, Jarod W. Tapp of Greenville, SC, and Danielle L. Johnson of Isle of Palms, SC; her brother, Kenny Pugh (Jennifer) of New Albany, IN; her sister, Dawn Gordon (Jeff) of Minden, NV; four grandchildren; and two nephews and three nieces.
