Debra "Debbie" Heath Martinez

Debra "Debbie" Heath Martinez, 56, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 17, 2023, surrounded by those she loved. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the West Ashley Chapel of J. Henry Stuhr Inc., 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Debbie was born June 8, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Allen Heath and Elizabeth Horton Heath. She was a 1984 graduate of Middleton High School and a 1988 graduate of Clemson University. Debbie worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years and was most recently the branch manager of the Southern Region for J.M. Wilson Corporation.

In life there have been few as special as Debbie. She enriched the lives of everyone she met with her wit, laughter, humor, kindness, exuberance for life and was always there wholeheartedly for anyone who needed her. Her light brightened this world in so many ways and we know she would want us all to continue shining that light in our lives every day. Though she is not physically with us, her spirit lives on, and she is looking out for all of us from God’s Garden above.
 
Debbie is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jesus Antonio “Tino” Martinez; son, Nicholas William Martinez; sister, Constance Heath Locklair, all of Charleston, SC; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her older brothers: Phillip Wayne Heath and Randal Kevin Heath.
