Deborah Jean Koenig, 64, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of Paul Henry Koenig entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 29, 2016. There will be a private service at their home Chapel. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Jean was born July 20, 1951 in Kountze, Texas, daughter of the late William Chesley Blackburn and Mildred Lindsey Blackburn. She was a wonderful mother, MeeMaw, wife, sister, aunt and friend who will always be in our hearts. Jean rescued, saved and loved many animals over her lifetime. She had such a giving heart and was loved by many.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Henry Koenig of Johns Island, SC; two daughters, Holly Richardson of San Diego, CA, and Lindsay Williams (Christopher) of Aledo, TX; two sons, William Richardson (Jessica), and Nicholas Koenig both of Woodlands, TX; four sisters, LaQuita Fe Kaplowitz of Bradenton, FL, Derwana Jo Hall of Lufkin, TX, Nelda Long of Sarasota, FL, and Freddie Shaw of Sam Rayburn, TX; three grandchildren, Lula Richardson, Aiden Richardson, and Liam Williams.
