Deborah Joyce Dupree, Ph.D., 72, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Her memorial service will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Committal will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Deborah was born July 30, 1952 in Greenville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Jerome L. Dupree and Margaret Evans Dupree. Deborah graduated from James Island High School, where she played in the marching band and received a scholarship to play clarinet the University of South Carolina. After earning her Master's and Ph.D. in psychology, Deborah worked and eventually retired from both her own private practice and later as a professor with Trident Technical College.

She is survived by her son, Gabriel C. Magee (Chevas); her adored grandchildren, Avery and Jameson; and her beloved cat, Oliver. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
