Deanna Milner Ehrlich, 71, of Chester, South Carolina, died on Thursday, September 29, 2016.
Deanna was born December 9, 1944 in Georgia, daughter of the late Hugh Morgan and Nellie Kate Broome Milner.
She attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's in history. She continued her education earning her Master's and Specialist's degrees from Winthrop University in school administration. She taught and worked in various educational settings for over 40 years. Deanna loved working with children and adults and inspiring in them a love of learning. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge with friends and attending her grandson's band concerts and performances. As wonderful an educator as Deanna was, she was an even better daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Anna E. Dassing, husband Robert, and grandson, Troy, of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Tama E. Eller and husband, Rob, of Clayton, NC; her brother, Morgan Milner; and sisters Eugenia M. Henry, Elizabeth M. Bearden, and Evelyn M. Gilliland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Her family will hold celebration of life services at Purity Presbyterian Church, 135 Wylie Street, Chester, SC 29706 on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. and another gathering on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastview Cemetery, 204 Adam Street, Zebulon, GA 30295.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Purity Presbyterian Church to provide scholarships for children to Bethelwoods Camp.
