David Shriver Soliday, IV, 17, beloved son of David Shriver Soliday, III and Ruthie Jones Soliday, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Born in Charleston, July 9, 1996, Shriver was a rising senior at Porter-Gaud School, where he was a member of the Vestry and the varsity lacrosse team. Shriver was an excellent student, a talented musician and a beloved member of the school family, where his kindness, quick wit and beautiful smile made him a loyal friend to everyone. He was an active member of the youth group at St. Philip's Church, where he could be found every Sunday night.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Phyllis F. Soliday of Litchfield, CT; his maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Frederic G. Jones of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his maternal great-grandmother, Llewellyn H. Peterson of Anderson, SC; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip's Church. Interment will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
