MCPO David Arthur Sloan, USN Ret., 77, of Moncks Corner, SC, husband of Barbara Lee Sloan died Wednesday, February 4, 2015. His funeral service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm with military honors. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
David was born December 30, 1937 in Deland, FL, son of the late Charles Ward Sloan and the late Jayne Virginia Ledger Carter. He was a retired Master Chief in the Navy and an Episcopalian.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Sloan of Moncks Corner, SC; son, Danny Sloan (Susan) of Lovettesville, VA; three daughters: Brenda Rousseau (John) of Goose Creek, SC, Bonnie Billak (Jeff) of Warrenton, VA and Brenna Worsham (Jeff) of Moncks Corner, SC; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
