David John Rivito

April 30, 1949 — February 3, 2017

David John Rivito, 67, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Linda Soule Rivito passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, February 3, 2017. His Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Cathedral Of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in Church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

David was born April 1949 in Syracuse, New York, son of the late Carmen Rivito and Margaret Wilde Rivito. He was a decorated U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. David was a Director of Environmental Services with Crothal Services. David loved all things family and spending time with his sons and son-in-law on the golf course. He was a member of Cathedral of Praise Church where he loved playing guitar on the worship team.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Rivito; two sons, Timothy (Amy) Rivito of SC, and Daniel (Maria) Rivito of WI; three daughters, Kristi Fountain of GA, Kara Rivito of SC, Loni (Robert) Doody of PA, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Wendy Albanese of PA, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Rivito.
