David Thomas "Tommy" Massalon, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Patricia "Pat" Musante Massalon entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 7, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 in St. Mark United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Avenue at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service in the church. Tommy was born April 16, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Lee Massalon and Carrie Louise Thompson. He graduated from Murray Vocational High school in 1957 and attended The Citadel. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Planner and Estimator.
Tommy was a life-long, active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Emmaus Community, the Elks Club, the Masons, Scottish Rites and the Shriners.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pat; two daughters: Lynn Massalon Johnson (Todd) of Chapin, SC and Lane Massalon Floyd (Jeff) of Charleston, SC; a son, Robert Wagenbrenner of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren: TW Baker (Lauren), Matthew Belding, Joshua Johnson, Jeffrey Floyd, Gracie Floyd, Elisabeth Wagenbrenner, Mary Sewell (Jonathan); and three great-grandchildren: Daylin Nason, Branks Smoak and Jackson Sewell.
