David Carl Knesek, Jr., 30 passed into eternal life peacefully on December 8, 2011. Residence, North Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in Wando Woods Baptist Church, 4123 Dorsey Avenue, Monday, December 12, 2011, at 1 pm. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Sunday between 5 and 7 pm.
David was born December 13, 1980 in Hinesdale, Illinois, the son of David Carl Knesek, Sr., Paulette Porter Dunham and step-father, Alan Paul Dunham. He attended Ferndale Baptist School and graduated from Stall High School, where he played football for Stall Warriors. David was involved with The Yearly Extravaganza at St. Paul's Country Day School and was a member of the National Turkey Federation. He was a loving son, father and brother and was loved by his family and friends, who will miss him dearly. We will miss his light during the Christmas Season. David was of the Baptist faith and believed and knew the Lord as his savior.
Surviving are his mother and step-father of North Charleston; his father of Port Charles, FL; his daughter, Erynn Lynn Knesek, the joy of his life; two sisters, Tamara Lynn Hinson of North Charleston and Kristie Weed of Lexington, SC; two step-sisters, Michelle Thomas (Joe) of Pasadena, MD and Jessica Muse (Mike) of Johns Island; a step-brother, Alan Paul Dunham, Jr. of Johns Island; grandmother, Lennette Porter of North Charleston; two great-aunts, Annette Cottinghan of Charleston and Caroline Messina of Lafayette, LA; 4 uncles and 2 aunts; 3 nieces and 2 nephews; several cousins; and a special friend, Jenn Boxx.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hatchett and his staff for the care and love that was given and shown to David. Thanks to all the home health care nurses that took care and loved him.
