David Wayne Hudson, 83, of Hanahan, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Janice Craddock Hudson. A memorial service to honor David's life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will be held at the home of his daughter, Jill, at 4;30 PM

Born on May 16, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, David was the son of the late Richard and Faye Brown Hudson. Faith was an important part of his life, reflected in 13 years of attending church and Sunday school without missing a service from the ages of 5 to 18. He was a dedicated member of Midway United Methodist Church. David graduated from West Virginia State University in 1969 with a degree in Business Administration and spent his career as a valued purchaser for a chemical company.

David is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice; his daughter, Jill Renee Hudson Nguyen and her husband Voung of Sullivan's Island, SC; his son, John David Hudson and his wife Cynthia of Tampa, FL; and his cherished grandchildren, Julian, Madeline "Maddie," Miles, and Hudson Lewis Nguyen. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Hudson of Kentucky and Jannette Hudson of West Virginia.
