David Earl Housand, 63, of Summerville, SC, died Friday, June 26, 2015. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm where an evening prayer service will be held following visitation at 6:00 pm.

David was born June 25, 1952 in Charleston, SC, son of the late J.C. Housand and the late Mamie Dora Stevens Housand. He was a superintendent for Brantley Construction Company.

He is survived by his wife, Tina G. Housand of Summerville, SC; daughter, Jenny Dawson and her husband, Mark, of Summerville, SC; son, Matthew David Housand of Hanahan, SC; step-son, Shaun Goble of North Charleston, SC; sister, Linda Harper of Ladson, SC; brother, Kenneth Housand and his wife, Wanda, of Summerville, SC; and two grandchildren, Luke and Jack Dawson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Herrin and brother-in-law, James C. Parker.
