David Edward Hatchell

David Edward Hatchell, Sr., 75, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Candace "Candy" Hatchell entered into eternal rest Monday, June 7, 2021. His Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Please contact the funeral home for further information. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. David was born February 28, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Tillman Norwood Hatchell and the late Edna Moore Hatchell. He was the founder and co-owner of Harbourtowne Construction in Mount Pleasant with his partner and friend Danny Gladden. He was a lifetime member of the Hibernian Society. In his free time David was an avid golfer and he loved to shag dance to beach music. He loved to watch his USC Gamecocks play ball. And most of all he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. You will be missed "Hatch".
He is survived by his wife, Candace "Candy" Hatchell of Mt. Pleasant, SC, to whom he would have been married for 51 years on September 12th of this year; daughter, Dawn Hatchell of Charleston, SC; son, David "Dee" Hatchell, Jr. of Daniel Island, SC; and grandson, David "Tres" Hatchell III. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tillman N. Hatchell, Jr.
