Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 28, 2011, David Lee "Buddy" Bryan, Jr., husband of Jocelyn "Lindy" Sarvis Bryan.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Bryan, Jr. are invited to attend his funeral services Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Trinity Bible Church at 3 pm.  Burial will follow in Christ St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard, Chapel Road, Yonges Island.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL this Friday from 5 until 7 pm.


Mr. Bryan was born on March 26, 1932 in McClellanville, SC, son of the late David Lee Bryan and Daisy Walters Bryan.  Mr. Bryan was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was a retired Woodcrafter General Foreman with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Shop #64 and was a member of Trinity Bible Church.  David was an outdoorsman and a member of numerous Charleston area hunting clubs and was an avid fisherman.


Surviving are his wife Lindy Sarvis Bryan of Charleston; daughter, Becky Anita Lanier and husband Billy of Charleston; 3 sons, David L. Bryan, III and wife Nancy of Fernandina Beach, FL, Jerry Rueben Bryan and wife Rita of Mars Hill, NC, Richard "Ricky" Bryan and wife LaRisha of Summerville; 8 grandchildren, Trapper Bryan, Robby Bryan, Amanda Niering, Kayla Lanier, Lauren Vaughan, Victoria Bryan, Thomas Bryan and Elaina Bryan; and a great grandchild, Jacob Vaught.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Bible Church, 3589 Mary Ader Drive, Charleston, SC  29414 and/or Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
