David Wayne Brown

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of May 4, 2012, David Wayne Brown. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Monday, May 7, 2012 at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Monday between 5:00 pm and 7:00 p.m.

David was born on January 4, 1953 in Charleston, SC the son of the late Melvin Theodore Brown, Sr. and Esthma Marie Kelly Brown. He was a retired Pipefitter-General Mechanic from Westvaco. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post#147 on Folly Road and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his former spouse, Lyn Walker Brown of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Julie Brown Newby of McCormick, SC; three brothers, Clarence L.R. Brown and William T. Brown, Sr. both of Johns Island, SC and Melvin T. Brown, Jr. of Augusta, GA; one grandson, Olin Brown Newby; additional brother/sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends.
