David Thomas Aitchison

David Thomas Aitchison, 77, of Mount Pleasant, SC, formerly of Cape Cod, MA and husband of Kathleen Eimert Aitchison died Thursday, December 27, 2018. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

David was born February 1, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts, son of the late Thomas Aitchison and the late Agnes Smith Aitchison. He graduated from Hyde Park High School and attended Bentley University. He served in the United States Coast Guard and was stationed in Boston, MA. David worked as a Vice President of Merchants Bank in Hyannis, MA, a Police Officer in Mashpee, MA and was the owner/operator of Glasstown Trolley. He loved motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson and loved anything that had to do with the ocean including scuba diving and boating. He was a very social and compassionate man who was known to be a very patient teacher. He was a friend to all and no one was a stranger. David loved to travel, especially to beach destinations and he was also a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Aitchison; two sons, Thomas Aitchison (Colleen) and John Aitchison (Meredith); daughter, Christine Frost (Charles); six grandchildren, Samantha, David, Lindsay, Nicholas, Charley and Cameron; brother, Robert Aitchison; two brothers-in-law, Frederick Eimert and Steven Eimert; cousins, Greta Glorioso and Peter Aitchison.
