Darlene W. Walter

Katherine Darlene Westbury Walter, 51, wife of Timothy Price Walter, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. The relatives and friends of Darlene Walter are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, October 9, 2010 in the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8, 2010 in J HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Darlene was born November 15, 1958 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Manning Dupree Westbury, Sr. and Betty Way Westbury Squires. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of Point Hope United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Price Walter, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two children, Timothy Price Walter, Jr. and Cooper Westbury Walter, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Manning Dupree Westbury, Jr. of St. George, SC; and her grandmother, Katherine Smith Powell of North Charleston, SC.  Darlene is also survived by her step-father, Steve Squires of San Mateo, CA, as well as several nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family requests that memorials be made to the "Building Fund" of Point Hope United Methodist Church, 3404 Turgot Lane, Mt.
