Danny Michael Stewart, 70, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 11, 2026. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Drive, Hanahan, SC 29410 at 11:00 am. Internment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Highland Park Baptist Church.

Danny was born in Charleston County, on July 7, 1956, son of the late Roy L. and Lanelle Stewart.

He was a graduate of North Charleston High School in 1974, and was in the Boy Scouts of America reaching the rank of Life. His very first job was as a paperboy. Then, he started working at Trussell's Piggly Wiggly in Hanahan at the age of 15. He then went to work at DuPont in 1978 as a Production Assistant, while also serving as the Fire Brigade Captain. He retired in 2008 as an Industrial Mechanic with 30 years of service. He was ordained as a deacon at Cooper River Baptist Church and was presently serving as a deacon at Highland Park Baptist Church.

Survivors are brother, Dewayne Stewart (Rhonda) of Mount Pleasant, sister, Dayle Hatcher (David) of Hanahan, nephew, Chip Hatcher of Hanahan, niece, Ellie Hatcher of Charlotte, and many cousins and dear friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. and Lanelle Stewart.
