Danny Moxley, 77, passed away on February 11, 2025. Born Daniel Raymond Kenneth Moxley on October 13, 1947, of James Island, South Carolina, he lived a life full of passion, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends. His family welcomes you to his memorial service at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston 29414) on March 15, 2025. Guests will be received at 2:00 PM, with the service beginning at 3:00 PM.
Danny attended Clemson University and remained a passionate Clemson fan throughout his life. He served in the Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country before embarking on a diverse and fulfilling career. A skilled mechanic for most of his life, Danny was also an entrepreneur and businessman. His ventures included owning a club and other enterprises that reflected his social nature and love for bringing people together.
Above all else, Danny cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Ann Strock Moxley; daughters Kimberly Camus (Rick Camus) and Crystal Craft Burbage (Frank Burbage); grandchildren Benjamin Ray Camus, Alexandra Marie Camus, Christopher William Craft Ponder, Ryker Cayden Lawrence Burbage, and Remi Scarlett Burbage; and sisters Cathy Addison (Jeff Addison) and Linda Waite (Ricky Waite). He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Ray Moxley.
Danny had a magnetic personality that made him unforgettable to those who knew him. He was known for telling the best stories and jokes, always bringing joy to those around him. His love for cars was evident in both his career and personal life as an automobile enthusiast. He found immense happiness in spending time with his grandchildren, playing with them every chance he got. An animal lover at heart, he had a deep compassion for all creatures.
Baking brownies became one of Danny’s favorite pastimes, much to the delight of family. He also loved vacations—whether traveling with his wife or enjoying family trips to Florida. In his younger years, he embraced life’s excitement with memorable parties that became legendary among those who knew him best.
Danny’s faith was a guiding force in his life. He demonstrated his Christian beliefs through unwavering love and kindness toward everyone he met. His warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Danny’s memory bring comfort to those who loved him as they cherish the moments shared with him over the years.
