Daniel Goldstein, 83, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, husband of Adrienne Levy Goldstein, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 2, 2016. His graveside service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, in Emanu-El Cemetery, Sycamore Avenue, Maryville at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5th, Monday, June 6th, and Tuesday, June 7th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 1022 West Ashley Avenue, Folly Beach. Daniel was born May 9, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, son of Julius Goldstein and Tobe Margulies Goldstein. He was a graduate of Jewish day school, Erasmus Hall High School, Harvard College and Yale Law School. In June of 1958, Daniel started his career as an attorney for the Federal Power Commission in Washington, DC. After 22 years at FPC, Daniel became an Administrative Law Judge for the Labor Department and was the head of the Pittsburgh Office. After taking early retirement from the Federal Government, Daniel was in private practice for ten years.Daniel was a long time member of Synagogue Emanu-El and a volunteer for Mended Hearts, visiting people recovering from heart surgery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Adrienne; his children and their spouses: Deborah T. Lucash (Peter D.) of Charleston, SC and Jonathan Goldstein (Susan K.) of Sharon, PA; three grandchildren: Ellie B. Lucash, Aaron J. Lucash and Russell Bowers; and two brothers: Steven Goldstein of San Diego, CA and Edward Golding of Hadley, MA.
